The Georgia Climate Research Roadmap

As a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University I applied my training in the natural sciences to social science research directly applicable to environmental policy.  I organized a Climate Research Roadmap effort to identify research priorities that will help diverse stakeholders to understand and address climate change in the state of Georgia in collaboration with Murray Rudd, Daniel Rochberg, and the Climate @ Emory initiative. We worked with experts across sectors and disciplines to identify and rank the top 40 research questions for the state and make connections between science and policy goals.  Read our results published open access in Environmental Management (Rudd et al. 2018). I was also excited to be a part of the Georgia Climate Project, a multi-institutional initiative to develop a state-wide network focused on addressing climate-related challenges and opportunities.
